WooCommerce Connection

For ReturnsUp to function correctly, it is vital that it is connected to your WooCommerce store. This connection allows the system to read your orders, products, and customers in real-time.

Where to find the configuration

  1. Access your ReturnsUp Control Panel (admin.returnsup.com).

  2. Go to Configuration in the sidebar menu.

  3. Select the GENERAL tab and then WooCommerce.

Required Fields

Below we explain what data to put in each field.

1. Store URL

It is the full web address of your online store.

  • Format: Must include https://.

  • Example: https://mystore.com

  • Important: Do not add slashes at the end or subdirectories if not necessary.

2. Consumer Key

This is a security credential generated by WooCommerce.

  • Where to get it: In your WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API.

    • Click on "Add key", give it "Read/Write" permissions, and copy the "Consumer Key" field.

  • Format: Starts with ck_ followed by a long string of numbers and letters.

  • Example: ck_088d843567026952ed41d50294f2c1bcf911f819

3. Consumer Secret

It is the "password" that accompanies the previous key.

  • Where to get it: In the same screen as the Consumer Key.

  • Format: Starts with cs_....

  • Security: ReturnsUp encrypts it, so you will never see it complete once saved.

4. WordPress Plugin API Key

This key connects ReturnsUp with our specific plugin ("ReturnsUp Connector") that you must have installed on your WordPress.

  • What is it for?: Allows advanced functions that the standard WooCommerce API does not have, such as obtaining prices with exact taxes or creating a new section within the MY ACCOUNT area, so that the customer clicks on the banner and is redirected to app.returnsup.com/store and start the return process.

  • Where to get it: In your WordPress, go to the ReturnsUp menu in the sidebar. There you will see a field called "Connection Key".

  • Example: rk_a1b2c3d4e5...

Verify the Connection

Once you have filled in all the fields, click on the white "Test Connection" button.

  • Success: You will see a green message confirming that ReturnsUp can "see" your store.

  • Error: Check that the URL has no spaces and that the ck_ and cs_ keys are correct.

Finally, press "Save Settings" to apply the changes.
