ReturnsUp is a comprehensive returns management platform (RMA) designed for modern e-commerce businesses built on WordPress/WooCommerce. Its goal is to transform the returns process from a "hassle" into a loyalty opportunity, automating logistics, improving the customer experience, and, above all, saving money for the merchant.

How does ReturnsUp work?

The system acts as a smart bridge between your WooCommerce-compatible store and your logistics carriers (Correos Express, Correos, MRW, InPost, Sendcloud, etc.).

The Lifecycle of a Return

  1. Customer Request: The customer accesses the returns portal (e.g., app.returnsup.com/xxxx) using only their order number and email. No registration required.

  2. Item Selection: They choose which products to return and the reason (wrong size, damaged, etc.).

  3. Preferred Resolution: The customer chooses how they want to be compensated:

    • Refund: To the original payment method.

    • Product Exchange: For another size or color (manages stock in real-time). A new order will be created in your WooCommerce store.

    • Store Credit/Discount Coupon: Gift card for future purchases (ideal for retaining revenue). You can define an additional bonus percentage to incentivize this return option.

  4. Approval (Automatic or Manual):

    • Based on your rules, the request can be approved instantly or require manual review in the admin panel.

    • If you reject a request, the customer receives an automatic notification explaining the reason.

  5. Reverse Logistics:

    • The system automatically generates the shipping label (PDF) and sends it to the customer.

    • Support for multiple carriers and dynamic rates based on weight. The store manager needs to configure the desired carriers with their own credentials.

  6. Reception and Closure:

    • When you receive the package, you change the return status to "Received".

    • The system can process the refund or release the exchange automatically.

ReturnsUp allows customers to exchange a product for another variant (size/color) directly in the portal. The system checks stock in your WooCommerce in real-time to prevent exchanges for out-of-stock items. The process ends at your store's checkout so the customer can choose between the different shipping methods configured and use payment methods to pay the difference if any. This ensures that the exchanged (new) products are reserved until the original returned product arrives.

This option is powerful for avoiding lost sales. If the customer accepts the refund as credit, they receive an instant coupon code. You can incentivize this option by offering a "Bonus" (e.g., an extra 5% if they choose credit instead of a refund). Customizable up to 100% bonus.

  • Languages: The portal and emails automatically adapt to the customer's language (Spanish, English, French). The customer must select the language using the selector found on the screen.
