Here is where ReturnsUp demonstrates its ROI (Return on Investment). Analyze how much money you are saving thanks to good returns management.

The Value of Savings: Store Credit

Of all the metrics in this panel, the most important is Store Credit.

[!TIP] Retained Money = Earned Money "Store Credit" represents the amount that has NOT left your cash box.

Without a system like ReturnsUp that facilitates store credit/Gift Card refunds, it is very likely that all that amount would have become "Refunded to Customers", meaning money you lose forever.

Metrics Breakdown

  • Total Returned Value: The sum of everything (refunds + exchanges + credits). The gross volume of the problem.

  • Refunded to Customers: Money returned to card/PayPal. Negative cash flow.

  • Store Credit: Money retained in the company for future purchases.

  • Net Savings: Calculates the positive balance after subtracting return shipping costs (if you assume them).

Distribution Charts

Visual charts help you see the proportion between money lost (Original Refund in red) and money retained (Credit in green and Exchanges in blue). Your goal should be to maximize the green and blue areas by configuring incentives in Resolution Options.
